Our Story

Before 1996, roadshows were largely confined to major financial centers and a select group of investors. Access was limited, participation was constrained, and the capital markets process remained tied to physical meetings.

NetRoadshow helped change that.

Our founder, Brad Hammond, saw an opportunity to expand access by bringing roadshows online. After securing SEC approval in 1997, NetRoadshow launched the world’s first digital roadshow that November with BT Alex. Brown.

That first launch was especially significant. At the time, Alex. Brown was one of the most respected names in investment banking — a firm with roots dating back to 1800 and a reputation for backing innovative, high-growth companies. By the 1990s, it had established itself as a leading underwriter of high-profile IPOs, including major technology offerings such as Microsoft’s IPO. In 1997, following its acquisition by Bankers Trust, the firm became BT Alex. Brown — and partnered with NetRoadshow at a defining moment for both digital finance and the technology capital markets.

What began as a breakthrough in digital roadshows became something larger: a new way for capital markets participants to connect, communicate, and execute with greater access, efficiency, and confidence.

That same spirit of innovation continues to define NetRoadshow today. Over time, our platform has expanded well beyond the IPO roadshow, supporting a broader set of transaction types, workflows, and market participants across the capital markets.
